I’m not sure where to start with this review. I guess I’ll start by saying that I received the best customer service online ever!!! I searched around for a sidecar holster for my Springfield xd mod 2 45ACP, for about two months. There were only a couple companies making them. I’m not here to blast anyone, so I’m not going to mention there names, I’ll just say that they were rude, and there turn arounds were ridiculous! Then I came across SLIMFIT HOLSTERS, and lets just say that the first time I called them, I knew I was going to be taking care of! The companies owner James is who I spoke with. I’m very OCD, if I’m going to pay and have something custom made, I expect it to be excactly what I want! He spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me explaining all my options, I’m 6′ 240 pounds with somewhat of a gut. He assured me that his sidecar holster will not only fit but be extremely comfortable even being such a large guy! And he nailed it! This is my 3rd aiwb holster I’ve purchased for this gun, and his holster is the only one I can where all day, and without any pinching or digging into my pelvic like some aiwb holsters do. Now not only did I get excactly what I wanted, I received it in less than a week, a week! That’s unheard of. I put my order in on a Sunday, and Friday I was wearing my holster! I’ve got a fair amount of firearms, I’m also a tactical firearms instructor with years of training. So I have a drawer full of holsters, 30 plus at least from many manufacturers. I’ve been given holsters just to put them to test and give my thoughts on them. I’m not saying that Slimfit makes the best holsters out there, that would be a Lie, because there’s hundreds of people now making holsters, however I will say that, I will never purchase another holster from anyone else! Your not going to find a nicer group of guys, that go out of there way to make sure you get excactly what you want, and are 100% happy with it, then you will at Slimfit holsters. If you are indecisive about purchasing one of there holsters, all as I can say is take the chance and give them a try, you won’t regret it!! If anything give them a call, I guarantee you that they’ll put your mind at ease! Anyhow I’m trying to keep this review as short as possible, however there’s so many positive things about my experience with Slimfit Holsters that I could probably write a three page review! The design of this holster reduces printing significantly. The wedge and the modwing are the key to making that happen. I tried removing the wedge to see how it would sit and to see if the comfort level would changed at all. It just lead to more printing, so I put the wedge back on. I find the holster extremely comfortable. I emailed the SFH guys to ask a few questions about the holster and lead times. They were very quick to respond to all of my emails. I carry a 5″ 1911, with a Crimson Trace laser grip. I had been carrying strong side IWB. This is my first AIWB holster, and, unlike a couple of other holster manufacturers that I contacted, SFH was willing and able to add a little bump out to accommodate the CT laser (at no extra charge).
I wore it for a few hours the first day to try it out, and was quite surprised at how comfortable it is to wear, even when sitting or bending over. I’m still experimenting with slightly different positions, relative to belt loops and the belt buckle, to fine tune the fit, but it worked well right out of the box.
I really like the flexibility of a separate holster/mag carrier setup.
FWIW, I’m not really a big guy, but do have a bit of a gut. I expect the holster will fit even better as I slim down (a work in progress).
The only improvement I could see is to allow the spare mag carrier to extend below the belt more. Right now the mag acts as a lever, and wants to pivot forward, away from my body. Worst case, I’ll find another mag carrier. The holster is definitely a keeper.

My new favorite holster brand. I’ve been carrying over ten years and have owned holsters from most of the major brands. I think Slim Fit is better than most of the other brands for the following reasons:
– They’re cut exactly like I like. Not too bulky and doesn’t get in the way of getting a good grip
– Lots of options for clips. Not everybody wants the same clip, so good to have options.
– Good support for different gun and light options
– Ability to choose different sweat guard heights
– Modwing and wedge come standard. Most other companies don’t offer a wedge. I really like their wedge design. It’s removable if you don’t want it though.
– Adjustment for height and cant if you want that
– Holsters are attractive, comfortable, and concealable. Overall it’s my new favorite.

These are literally the best holsters for the money. While yes there’s a few really good companies at the very top, including slim fit, they just can’t beat the customer service or options that slim fit offers. PLUS…they offer a wedge for their appendix holsters. That is a MUST for us bigger guys or people who want minimal printing. Some of these top tier companies don’t even offer wedges. It’s a game changer. Buy slim fit or slap yourself.

I received the Guard Ultra holster for my Canik Elite Combat within the promised lead time. Just remember if the lead time says 15 to 20 days for example, that is 15 to 20 week days, not counting weekends and of course any holidays.
Now to the holster. There are many quality Kydex holster makers out there now. And you can count on SlimFit Holsters to be one of them. My holster was well made and did exactly as promised. Can’t ask for anything more than that. The gun fit and retention is very good and it covers the trigger guard completely and securely. Very important, especially when carrying appendix position. It holds my gun securely, yet has a smooth draw. With my body type, I don’t need a wedge to conceal my weapon, but one is included with the holster. It is removable, so you have the option. The OD green Kydex with Coyote brown washers looks slick! Time will tell how the plastic belt clips hold up. Personally, I like spring steel clips, but these seem flexible, yet rugged enough. I’m pretty picky when it comes to gear quality and my SlimFit Guard Ultra didn’t disappoint! Order a SlimFit! I’m sure you’ll be happy with it!

Retention is perfect but adjustable if need be. To have the removable wedge included on a custom holster, especially at the price point, is an incredible deal. Ride height is perfect to get a full grip when drawing, but with wedge and claw it practically disappears carried AIWB.

Both holsters I ordered are exactly as expected, the fit is great, the belt loops are adjustable height, molded perfectly to the contour of the gun. Got a PSA Dagger compact with optic, streamlight, threaded barrel. also a Glock 30 no attachments. Both fit and carry great, smooth draw also, I dont have any issues sticking in the holster.

Been my EDC for a year now for my Taurus G3C with an Olight. Bought it when it was called the Guardian. This is the most well thought out holster on the market. The wing and wedge help with printing a lot. Other brands have inferior wings that aren’t tall enough. These belt clips printed too much for me, replaced with a Vedder clip and its literally perfect now. I upgraded to an optic, taller sights, and a longer ported barrel, and the holster still fits awesome. Will be replacing my Vedder G19 holster with one of these in hopes of carrying it without printing. Hardware for the wedge is all gross and rusty from use, replacement options would be nice.

***Almost Perfect Will be buying more Slim Fit holsters***
I’ll start with the negatives as there really isn’t many and they are all extremely minor.
1)Had to adjust the screws to get the retention just right
2) wish the separate magazine holder was made to fit my spare mag as it just sits in it loosely.
With that being said I have A LOT of positives to say about this holster.
1) the packaging was amazing and as soon as I put my hand in the bag to pull out the holster the first thing I felt was the wedge and was instantly able to feel how comfortable the wedge is just from the touch.
2) the colors was perfect you can tell just how much time and care they put into their holsters. Makes the lead time worth the wait.
3) I was interested in getting a slim fit holster for quite some time now. However, I kept window shopping with other companies to find the best price and quality for everything I wanted. And Slim Fit was the ONLY company I found that offered an option that would fit my Olight PL2 Mini with the adjustable rail. Literally NO other company I found offered that and still had a reasonable price.
4) I have 2 Tier One holsters and their wedge does not even come close to the concert feel and quality of the Slim Fit wedge.
5) the retention of paddle fomi clip is perfect.
6) the comfort of this holster is by far not matched by any holster I have ever owned for any of my firearms.
If you are like me and are shopping around for a great holster until you find the company that is offering the perfect deal for what you want, just stop looking because you will not find a holster company that has as many options, quality, comfort, and at a reasonable price than Slim Fit.

From someone who has been through A LOT of holsters, this is my #1 go to. Way back I started my journey with terrible holsters like Uncle Mike’s nylon holsters from Sportsmans Warehouse. I’ve owned Alien Gear holsters IWB and OWB. The G-Code Incog Eclipse with the “tacticool fuze”. I tried the We the People holsters, wasnt impressed. Then I had a buddy with the T-REX Arms Sidecar, I tried it out for a while, liked it and wanted a sidecar style so I purchased the Tier 1 Axis Slim. I did like it but I felt I was always printing and needed a wedge. That required purchasing a seperate wedge kit so I decided to make my own with the yoga block DIY, and although it did work I just felt the over all size of the sidecar style along with having to modify a wedge, the discomfort when sitting…something needed to change. While looking into wedges I stumbled upon the Slim Fit Holsters “Phalanx” and had to try it out. Through ordering it gave me many options to customize to me and my gun. I prefer the 2 belt clip style with a mag carrier so I can decide when, where and if I would like a spare mag. So…with the smaller size, its slightly curved design 2 belt clip option, comes with an already properly shaped wedge, separate mag carrier, and I can design the colors to fit me… I’m sold. I now own 2 styles, 1 with a paddle clip to try and use with a more minimalist set up. And I’m in the process of ordering one for my wife. After using this for a couple years now, sitting in my vehicle on long drives, sitting at church for 2 hours, and the EDC aspect I sometimes forget it’s there it’s so comfortable. There is obviously the new to appendix carry discomfort that everyone must grind through but I can say with experience this is the best I’ve tried.

At first I was skeptical with the way they had molded the light with the extra material, that it would cause a pressure point. NOPE! I’m able to not only carry this at 12 but at 1-2o clock as well. It’s a little early to be posting a review. I just got the holster in today’s mail. But so far I’m loving it.
Finding a holster to accommodate my EDC setup has been a challenge. I’m running a BUL Armory SAS II Ultralight pistol with a Holosun EPS carry optic and a Streamlight TLR7 sub weapon light. I also hope to use the Phlster carry system to attach the holster to my body. You can trust me when say that the pickings are slim and none for holsters that meet all of these specs.
I haven’t yet tried to mount the holster on the Phlster belt, but I’ve been wearing it all day with DCC clips on a regular gun belt and it is checking all the boxes so far.

Took the holster out of the package and my Smith and Wesson Equalizer fit like a glove. I a bigger guy and it is somewhat uncomfortable to carry appendix style. However, this holster is extremely comfortable and stays concealed.

Great Holster, greater price. I’ve got a Staccato P with TRL-1 HL-X took me a bit to find SF. Glad I did. As good or better than Tier 1 (my usual go to) as far as fit and finish are concerned, plenty comfortable for a set up this large. The Phalanx with claw and wedge is 10/10 for my CZ Shadow 2 Carry. My S2C has an Olight BaldrS, and there aren’t many kydex AIWB holster options. I hadn’t used Slim Fit before and took a chance. This is by far the most comfortable AIWB I own. Screws are tight, quality is good, retention perfect. I don’t recall the production time – I think it was about average. Highly recommended.

Have had and broken 2 of 3 Tier1 MSP holsters, and absolutely refuse to support that company any longer. Found SlimFit because they had holsters for the new cloud EPL. This is hands down the best AIWB holster I have bought, I have two totes full of dead dreams that were once my EDC holsters. I thought the lube was a Joke, but holy smokes it’s smooth like butter, yet the most secure holster I have. Don’t waste your time with Tier1 and their weak stick on “soft foam” wedges that loose their shape in a couple weeks. SlimFit for the Win 100%
